Future Survival Kit｜一個「未來救生包」，會裝着甚麼必需品？

Maison Margiela 的2018年秋冬高訂時裝秀上，模特兒披上厚厚的棉被，背着平板電腦和手機，表達「我們都是游牧民族」的概念；或者只要有手機在手，就真的到處都可以是吾家。到底將來的我們需要甚麼，才能真正生存？來自洛杉磯的藝術家Lucy Mcrae依靠想像，創作出一個 “Future Survival Kit” (未來救生包)，或者可以帶來點端倪。

This shoot was an experiment. I wondered whether I could carry the entire artwork on my back; which meant hanging everything from my body, my face included. Covering the face is a nod to us being engrossed in the device, strapped to digital and ignorant to what is actually going on around us. Lucy幻想自己是一個雪巴人(Sherpa)，在世界末日後逃離，所以她把整個「居所」背在身上，例如枕頭和棉被等，一攤開就能睡覺。Lucy說，這個人正在從現實世界出走，建立自己的隨性世界，他們追求的是獨立、真理和信任；所以除了日用品，她還拿着一本由過去的人所寫、警告下一代的書。

She's fled reality, to start her own ad-libbed world. Shepherded by the belief that feelings and survivalism are equal, this Post Apocalyptic Sherpa balances a kit of survival on her back containing everything this sensitive forager may need. 這件作品由以色列的霍隆設計博物館委託Lucy策劃，為“State of Extremes Exhibition”展覽創作，以分析近十年來隨氣候和社會變化而發生的設計產生了甚麼演變。當我們以為數碼用品會充斥未來的世界時，看畢Lucy的設計才知道，原來人最終賴以生存的東西，可能只是一個能提供安枕的墊子，和裝載情感的救生包。
